New Hope Worcester Childrens Charity - New Hope Worcester 35 Wells Road, Worcester, WR5 1NN

Staff Training

At New Hope – Worcester, we place great emphasis on the ongoing professional development of our employees to ensure the highest standards of care and support for the children and families we serve. Staff training covers a range of key areas, including:

  • Safeguarding
  • Behaviour Management
  • Augmentative Communication (e.g., SignAlong)
  • Manual Handling
  • Food Hygiene
  • First Aid

All new staff are appointed on a three-month probationary contract.  If the appointment was made on the condition of starting or completing a specific qualification, this will be closely monitored. The probationary period provides staff with time to familiarise themselves with the principles and practices of New Hope, with regular support from managers to guide their development.

In addition to working alongside the team, managers provide formal supervision for each staff member, offering guidance, feedback, and professional development.

At New Hope, we are committed to fostering a supportive, learning-focused environment where staff are encouraged to grow, excel, and provide the best possible care to the children and families we serve.
